Re: NIKKEI

Hi,

I trade the nikkei on Simex. I guess it will depend on the timeframe you
want to trade. I trade a very basic trend following system which gives
various weigths to the daily, weekly and monthly signals. It is not 100%
mechanic but would work almost as well if it were.

I have tried coming up with a method that employs JGB's, euroyen and $yen fx
but the incremental gains have not been worth the additional effort and
complexity.

The only drawback of my method is that it does not trade very often and
there can be times when capital is tried up in a trend that is going nowhere
- ie end of Jan to end of March this year.

I know of a number of traders in Tokyo who use a short term break-out system
to trade Nikkei on Osaka and Simex. Not too sure if it would work on the
Chicago contract though.

A dumb question: is crt still part of Nationsbanc?

Essan.
