         INVESTOR SENTIMENT SURVEY

                 6 / 22 / 98

------------------------------------------------

Below are the results of our weekly "Guess the Dow" sentiment survey. The
survey was taken from 6/15 through 6/21 on our web site.

Number of participants: 347

30 day outlook:

32 % bullish, 33% last week
45 % bearish, 42% last week
23 % neutral, 25% last week

(percentages may not sum to 100 due to rounding)

Median guess for the DJIA closing value on Friday, 6/26: 8726 (it was 8912
last week). More complete sentiment data is available at
<http://www.lowrisk.com/sentiment.htm> .

The sentiment numbers, though largely unchanged, grew a bit more bearish
last week. Bullish sentiment dropped 1% to 32%, while bearish sentiment
rose 3% to 45%. This is not unexpected as the DJIA fell 78 points last
week. This is our sixth consecutive week of strongly bearish sentiment. In
the past year whenever we have seen these types of bearish numbers for even
a couple of weeks they have led to strong rallys. This has us wondering if
the market is enviroment that we have had for the last three years may be
changing.
