         INVESTOR SENTIMENT SURVEY

                 6 / 15 / 98

------------------------------------------------

Below are the results of our weekly "Guess the Dow" sentiment survey. The
survey was taken from 6/8 through 6/14 on our web site.

Number of participants: 308

30 day outlook:

33 % bullish, 30% last week
42 % bearish, 50% last week
25 % neutral, 20% last week

(percentages may not sum to 100 due to rounding)

Median guess for the DJIA closing value on Friday, 6/19: 8912 (it was 8850
last week). More complete sentiment data is available at
<http://www.lowrisk.com/sentiment.htm> .

Bullish sentiment creeped up 3% to 33%, while the bearish reading fell 8%
to 42%. Neutral sentiment rose 5% to 25%. The sentiment numbers are a tough
read this week. The numbers became less bearish in a week when the DJIA was
down 200 points, a combination that would normally be scary for the bulls.
But the numbers last week were so extremely bearish that a bit of
moderation was almost to be expected on anything less than a complete
meltdown.
