I saw a post this morning where someone said DTN was doing pretty
good under the circumstances. Good grief. BMI had there satellite people up
and running by 1 est the next day. I thank my lucky stars I didn't have the
option to switch when the subject first came up. This problem some DTN users
are having would be killing me. This is a case where a penny saved would be
a
 dollar disaster. Good luck folks.

Hi Pete!

Good to hear from a happy DBC subscriber. I was once one too. ;-)

You make a good point, as a DTN RT customer, I've also become a
satellite tuner as well.

I was a subscriber to DBC services, as far back as the 4800 baud (!)
days even the "Data Speed" days. They have made a lot of improvements
in their product over the years, but, from my experience, not in the way they
treat customers. I would do business with them again, but only if they were
the only provider left.

It may be that I just met up with the worst people representing the company
or on the worst days they had. It could have just been my luck over the
years.
-My luck has been much better with DTN.

I wonder if the BMI service, or for that matter, the standard DTN services,
would have been up as fast if they had the bandwidth requirement of DTN RT?
IMHO, I don't think it was a company management situation as much as a
 capacity and location problem.

Let's all hope the field of providers doesn't narrow any more. It's the
"choice"
that keeps them all on their toes.

Happy Trading!
