The Triplex system is covered in the TASC Jan and August 1997 issues. The
system buys and sells are a combo of the three lower indicators, but not in a
simple additive combination. The articles are the best place to get a
detailed description of how it is done. It is too lengthy to cover here.
Briefly the indicator you question is actually composed of the Adv/Decl ratio
minus the relative strength of th Dow Jones Composite which is in a hidden
subgraph.

I looked at your chart. The NH and NL "strengths'" make sense and seem
logical and somewhat predictive. The ADV/DECL Strength on the other hand
doesn't look right. It gave a reasonable sell signal as the market bottomed
in April, but gives a buy signal today as the ADV/DEC line is again flirting
with disaster. What gives with this inconsistent indicator? Could you tell
us how it's computed?
