Personally, I don't particularly care what you call it. Once I saw the
term "pitchfork", I pretty much assumed that it was the Andrew's
Pitchfork that was being referred to.
There have been several articles in TASC on its use within the last
couple of years.
Attached is some nifty .ela code supplied by RT member Greg Wood a
while back. I don't know if Greg is even a member any more . . . hmmmm
. . . I wonder why he might have quit . . . hmmmmm
Please folks, let's try to avoid the bitch sessions and idle chat and
stay focused on helping each other learn and become better traders.
Personally, that's why I'm still here. Every once in a while you find
that nugget of gold. Not too often, anymore, but still . . . every
once in a while. Those nuggets would be easier to find if we all just
tried to stay focused.
Anyhow, I'll climb down off the soap box now, and mention that after
applying this indicator, you should place A,B, and C labels at each
one of the highs and lows that you're trying to create the pitchfork
from. Greg says that you should only have to refresh the screen and
the pitchfork should be drawn, but I've found that I've had to
actually re-verify the code in the Power-Editor each time that I've
wanted to draw a new pitchfork, which is really no big deal to do. You
can create multiple pitchforks by using slightly different labels,
such as A1, B1, C1, A2, etc.
There's some other things that this indicator will do, as mentioned by
Greg in the code, but I've never taken the time to figure them out.
Perhaps someone else can investigate and get back to us on that.
Enjoy!
