Re: Floor traders

Trading Reference Links

1) Thinking that "real time" quotes are "real time" is a wrong....All "real
time" quotes
are at least a few seconds behind(transmission time)......

2)99% of the time a market buy is filled at the ask and a market sell is
filled at the bid.

3)The results of our trading needs to include the facilitation of making the
trade.....ie:Is it humanly possible to duplicate the entry/exit/stop exactly
as needed to obtain the results? (I find this particularly to be the case
when people use computers to back-test)....

4)Broker scalping.....I find that with the most markets....if I go to the
"market"....about half the trades are better and about half are worse....IF
every trade you do is worse....
then there maybe a problem.

5)5-10 S&P trades per day????? Ask yourself this question.......Is it
humanly possible to day in-day out do 10 round-turns per day without
suffering exhaustion/stress to the point of self-destruction or would you be
better off trying to take 1-3 trades per day(maybe even doing more
units/trade)?????????????

Hope this helps......
