I've got a new on here. I have started to trade Coffee and Silver for the
first time. What I don't understand is that, although the closing prices of
Coffee can be expressed in units of .05 of a cent (i.e., 143.20), orders can
only be placed in increments of .25 of a cent (i.e. 143.25).
Similarly for silver, closing prices are often quoted in tenths of a cent
(i.e., 631.4) but orders can only be placed in .5 cent increments (i.e.,
631.5).
I haven't seen this before in other futures I have traded. How do they
arrive at these closing prices if orders can't be placed at these prices?
