VIX closed almost exactly back at the 20% level, actually tracked
into the 19% level yesterday. Equity option volume continues to
be extremely strong.
CBOE celebrates 25 years of LISTED OPTIONS with a 3 day gala
beginning Thursday. N.Y. times will have an OPED piece this week
and the closing bell Friday wil(probably)make national television
FRIDAY.
Options are now marginable by non broker/dealers as of 4/01/98...
broker/dealer approval is still pending and should come shortly.
The non broker/dealers qualify under FED reg "U" ... the rest of
the community is reg "T" and that is coming.
