Earl & Others,
FOURLINE is designed to show you the relative
amplitude of ALL Fourier lines for periods in the
range of 3 to 120 bars. Because Fourier is basically
a series of filters -- and all filters "leak" -- we assume
that whenever there is a peak in the spectrum that
there is a significant cycle in the data of that period.
FOURLINE is a guide to the OVERALL periodicity
that is existant in the closing values of the equity under
analysis.
Insofar as FOURPERIOD is concerned. Whenever
the dominant period (and that is what is measured)
becomes very short there probably is NO significant
cyclic market movement underway.
