The above is quoted from the first lines of an Astrolgy Feature....forwared
on another channel. On the surface it is about "astrology" predicting
the market.
On a second level, it appeals to "ther readers" FEAR....which is the basis
of many a "relgious/philosphical belief systems".
The question then becomes, what place does "belief systems" have in
my trading? What are they? Do they help or do they hinder?
BE HAPPY : )

FEBRUARY INVESTING BY THE STARS 1. DJIA 6500 or 8500? 2. ASTROLOGY 98'
3. WEB SITE UPGRADES 4
LETTERS 1. Most portfolios are well prepared for DJIA 8500, but not DJIA
6500. We believe that will be a costly
misteak. Review your portfolio with your financial advisor and discuss
selling stocks that you own that you
wouldn't DREAM of buying at today's prices. 2. ASTROLOGY 98 is now being
published again. We are taking
advantage of webness and freely publishing articles on a non-timed
deadline. Please enjoy the inaugural article by
Carol Mull with one of the best astrological primers on how to
astrologically forecast markets. 3. Have you seen all
the new enhancements at our web site? We have undergone many changes
recently and invite you to CLICK
Here to visit if you have not done so recently. 4.<< starry, starry
night . . . I like the idea of investing by the stars.
You can say anything negative you want about a company and they won't
get angry, since they'll figure it was
just Aquarius being aligned with Virgo. Very clever! HW: Yes, I agree.
COSMIC Investors are clever because
Astrology WORKS! I followed a self-styled astrologist X for all of 1996.
At the end of the year I quit subscribing
to her newsletter because it appeared that she missed every turn in the
market that she called. In fact, it seemed
like if I had taken the opposite position on every call, I would have
been far better off. My question to you is the
following: Is the problem not that the principles behind astrology are
unsound, but that you've got to find the
right interpreter? And, is the only way to find the right interpreter
through trial and error? HW: Of the four points
in trading, i.e. Time of Entry, Time Duration, Extent of Move and
Direction of Move, the fourth is the hardest to
master. Hey Henry, you might mention my book as a source of 1st trade
charts. Bill Meridian HW: Buy
PLANETARY STOCK TRADING if you are serious about practicing financial
astrology. How's that Bill? I was
wondering about the correct time of birth for a corporation that merged
with another corporation. The company in
question is The First National Bank of Chicago, which merged with NBD in
November of 1996. Do you erect a new
chart for the new merged company and if you do, what date do you use,
when the new stock first trades? Your
help would be greatly appreciated. HW: Yes and we use both the new
incorporation if a different entity, and the
time of the first trade. See my INVESTING BY THE STARS for more info. I
found out that the last time that Uranus
and Neptune were in Aquarius (both at the same time) was from 1835 to
1836. The following year, when Uranus
moved to Pisces, there was a big panic at the market in the USA >> HW:
Sometimes history repeats itself, but
Uranus won't be in Pisces till 2003, you really think we have to wait
that long? Readers response: We do Henry. It
is only six years away. You'll see....... I feel that we are on the edge
of a huge deflation, that eventually will put us
in a depression. It will take several years to unfold, in my opinion,
but this is the one that everyone's been writing
about for the last 20 years. What are good investments during
deflationary times? Are there any? HW: GOLD is
one, the ENTERTAINMENT sector is another. However, I don't suggest
entertainment stocks until Spring 99 as
they are "under the influence" of Saturn/Neptune squares that we wrote
about in our 1998 forecasts. How can
you, in good conscience, continue to recommend IHI, as you do again,
twice, in your 1998 Stock Market
Forecasts? Isn't it time to just admit that you were wrong about IHI?
Denial is not a river in Egypt. HW: Early
perhaps, but wrong I don't think so. I only wish my wife would let me
buy more. Microsoft rewarded initial
investors with a 24,000+ return, why should I expect less from IHI? :)
But hey, what do I know? I could be wrong -
but then again I AM A LEO!!! I ordered IHI's prospectus and have
reviewed. Looks like a lot of red ink and the
need for quite a bit of capital to move forward. Look forward to any
info you could provide. >> HW: Yes much
capital is needed but they ARE raising it. At this point in time I
consider Mr Rached a personal friend so I have
only say nice things regarding him. As I have invested considerable
personal funds in IHI as well as continue to
recommend it to my family and friends, I obviously consider IHI quite
favorably. I suggest you continue to track
its progress, and don't invest unless you personally feel comfortable.
Email Investor Relations, or call Linsday at
1-800-838-8090 to receive company updates. Remember, $1 stocks are NOT
IBM. By the time they are, they are
$100! I treat IHI stock like a non-expiring option and obviously subject
to GREAT RISK, (loss of principal) with a
potential HIGH reward. << I am writing because I am new to the internet
and probably am asking a question which
is obvious. I don't see your book "Investing by the Stars" listed on
your page. How may I obtain a copy? Also, I
love reading your forecasts on your page. You are right on target. I
know, I got the same advice thirty years ago
from my father who was a farmer and always planted by the moon and
stars. I didn't believe in astrology because
it seemed so hoakie in the newspapers. My gardens did poorly also. Now
my father has passed on,I am in my 50's
and a little smarter. My garden grows excellently and I am finally
studying astrology. I wish to learn financial
astrology, not to supplant you but to better understand and agree from a
point of cogency, your forecasts. Sorry
for the digression, just need to know how to get your book. >> HW:
