Some while back I posted info relating to the SEC approval of option
spreads as 1 ticket. They have approved vertical spreads in the OEX and
SPX and soon(possibly)DJX. Butterflies were also approved. Having said
that a rollout date currently doesn't exist. My expectation is systems
issues...expansion of trading in 1/16 and year 2000 issues will come
first. Decimal trading should follow(probably by the 2nd QTR of 2000
but I would hold my breath). So it is a wait and see, but don't expect
anything soon and it's entirely possible even though they have been
approved they may be shelved.
