I sent this last night. I have not seen it come
thru and no comments. I apologize if this is
a repeat to you but sometimes I don't know.
Clyde
Traders,
There are many ways to present the same data.
SM always starts off with the same set of patterns
which were picked from historical data for any
selected smoothing amount.
Heretofore, I have been sorting all the swings
into an order based on the SLOPE of the first
projected leg based on all the patterns found.
This is what was presented in previous .gif .
In this comparison (one is the djda0123.gif data)
I have sorted the data by the NUMBER OF
DAYS in the first projected leg based on all
the patterns found and then averaged the data.
QUITE A DIFFERENCE. RIGHT NOW I
DON'T KNOW WHICH IS BEST BUT I'LL
SPEND SOME TIME NEXT WEEK DOING
A COMPARISON WITH HISTORICAL
DATA AND SEE IF THERE IS ANY
SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCE IN THE
TWO METHODS INSOFAR AS ARRIVING
AT A VALID PROJECTION.
Forgive the squeezed up nature of these
pictures but I thought it was best to be
able to see both of them at the same
time side by side.
