If CNBC said yesterday's value was 54, it has to be a misprint. The
McClellan oscillator is simply the difference between two exponential
moving averages. Sherman's formula uses a 19 day and 39 day difference.
Power editor code uses this formula with Advances as data 1 and declines as
data2:
Plot1 = XAverage(Close of Data1 - Close of Data2,19)of Data1 -
XAverage(Close of Data1 - Close of Data2,39). This is copied from the
Omega TA Referance Manual.
