I'm afraid I will sound like an advertisement for CSI. When I called
asking when they would have Options on Futures data, they told me right now
they are working on Unfair Advantage for stocks. I think they said they
would have this ready by the end of the year. When it is available it will
come with a disk containing historical data. You will have to call them
for the details. I cant tell you how great it is to have clean data after
putting up with Dial data for three years. CSI has ten employees whose
sole job is data correction. The data you get each day is much cleaner than
DD and what errors they do miss are sent in a correction file that
automatically corrects your data the next day. The download process over
the internet takes maybe 1/4 the time of dial data and in the five weeks I
have been a subscriber I have always been able to download my data on the
first attempt, whereas DD seems to be temporarily offline a lot or at least
I have to make several attempts to download. With DD about one day a month
I cant connect at all and end up having to wait until the next day for my
data. Just no comparison at all in service. The number for CSI is
800-274-4727.
