This is the results of a regression analysis that compares the weekly S&P
500 close with its Earnings Yield and its Dividend Yield. The column
labeled "exptd" is the expected range based on the earnings yield for the
S&P and weekly closing price of the S&P for the Earnings Yield and the
Dividend Yield. The expected earnings yield based on the price of the S&P
was to high in the beginning of the year. The S&P and the earnings yield
started to come into line around the end of march and the beginning of
april. They have been very closely related to each other since then. a
projection of earnings estimates and/or dividend yields will give a close
estimation of where we can expect to go from here.
