Cost basis for phone stocks

RT's,

My sister worked for the phone company in Tennessee when the 
breakup happened back in the 80's. She received equal shares of
each of the seven Baby Bell's at that time. She's interested in selling 
some of the shares, but is lost in determining the cost basis, due
to the all the splits and mergers. Does anyone have any advice or
know of a good website that will assist in determining the cost basis
for the original shares at the time of the breakup?
