You are right.  He probably can't believe he did it either.  It is a
wake up call for all of us to take a little closer look at our own ideas
of risk.  How much is there really, how much can we handle, what it does
to our emotional state.  Stuff like that.
It could be said, though, that one of the reasons he was so successful
for so long is that he traded without regard to reputation and without
concern for the money.  It is all about the trade, the game.  You can't
make the kinds of trades some of these guys make if you think about the
damage to your reputation if you lose, or if you dwell on the money at
stake.  It sure is a double edged sword.
