In such a volitile market it's almost impossible to properly hedge (offset)
the selling of options. Naked selling of any options puts or calls is not an
easy thing to do despite all the brokerage firms telling you that "time is on
your side". You collect...you collect ...you collect....then you lost it all
and then some when the big move inevitably comes.
