Specifically, it uses Microsoft Binary Format (MBF), as used in Microsoft Basic random access files, and not the more usual IEEE format.   I maintain a large database in Metastock format, and have written routines to convert from ASCII to MS and vice versa.  I can provide code (in Basic) for this to anyone who would find it useful. Bob Young Bob: Is this Metastock format you mention the same one used by Ensign? I understand from Ensign that their format is binary...I need to enter historical intraday data into Ensign, but TickData only has ASCII. I have been wondering how to do it, and this may be the answer! Thanks in advance. If your reply is not of widespread interest, you're welcome to send directly to tropinc@xxxxxxxx.
