RE: S & P Day Session Time Change

Just called my broker and he confirmed that there will be a time change, as it relates to the opening of the S&P's. The time change will go into effect Monday October 6, 1997 and will be 8:15 CST.

Nobody really knows why, but I'm sure it has something to do with the split in November.

I just heard that effective Monday, Oct 6, the S & P 500
contract day session open will change from 9:30 EST to 8:15 EST.

Is this correct?
