Hi Ross,

Take a look at Ralph Vince's books for a real good explanation of why constant
fraction, or Optimal-f, allocation maximizes account growth.

His books are: "Portfolio Management: Mathematical Trading Methods for
Futures, Options & Stock Markets"; "The Mathematics of Money
Management: Risk Analysis Techniques for Traders"; and "The New Money
Management: A Framework for Asset Allocation:

Start with the first book, "Portfolio Management...". He introduces the
optimal-f concept using very good examples.

Hope this helps,

Paul

RTs,

I've heard of Optimal f as a money management tool for years, but I've
never researched it.

I'd appreciate suggestions on one or more books that best explain
Optimal f. If you prefer to respond privately, my e-mail address is
below.
