The reason that the budget deficit is smaller now is due to current phraseof
economic expansion. One day, when the recession struck, you can
see if politicians really balance the budget. And the spending the government
has cut is not very significant. Also, remember that the Dow shot up from less
than 4000 towards 8000 in less than 3 years. It is better to be cautious.
Politicians are not very often reliable.
