I am looking for any tips on Option Trading:
On OEX options, I am looking for info on the mechanics of trading;, bid-ask
spread, type of orders used, market or limit, discount commission rate,
brokerage houses with good service, size of account required, expiration
date of the option, strike price and days to expiration used.
I am also looking for data company which supplies data on option, charting
software which automatically updates from option data downloaded. Inputing
data manually is tedious and error-prone. The charting softawre should be
able to plot implied, historical, seasonal volatility, put/call ratio,
profit-loss diagram.
Ihave been checking out advisory service in options namely Options
Investment Co, Aurora, Il, CMI, Datatrak, but havenot made much headway-some
of them show trades which have not been executed, commission and slippage
not deducted which is misleading since the 20-30% gain shown on profitable
options trades can dissapear if actual trades are made. Any info by options
traders who have found an advisory service profitable would be welcome.
I have acquired alot of theoretical knowledge on option trading on futures,
indices,stock, and trade futures actively, option trading would complement
my normal trading.
