Below are the results of our weekly "Guess the Dow" sentiment survey.
The survey was taken from 8/31 thru 9/6 on our web site. If you would

30 day outlook:
39% bullish, 53% last week
46% bearish, 23% last week
15% neutral, 23% last week
(percentages may not sum to 100 due to rounding)
Average guess for the DJIA closing value on Friday, 9/12: 7835 (it
was 7782 last week). More complete sentiment data is available at

This week's numbers took a turn for the bearish after two weeks of
surprising bullishness in our survey. With the recent volatility and
uncertainty in the market, we were a bit concerned about the last two
weeks of strongly bullish numbers. This week's numbers, coming after a
week when the stock market had a fairly significant gain, have us
breathing a bit easier.
