As most of you know the CBOT will be opening the new DJ futures contract in
October. Introductory seminars are being held in 19 cities around the country
during August and September. These seminars are free and you can find a
listing and register at the CBOT web site at www.CBOT.com.
The exchange is receiving a tremendous amount of interest in this contract
and a large part of the floor membership is also planning to trade in the
pit. The size of the contract will be 10 times the Dow which makes the
contract value approx. $80000. Option will be based on the same 10 times
multiple and will have 100 point strikes.
The anticipated exchange margin requirement is $3000 but this is subject to
change and regulatory approval.
