When I have a trade that goes haywire I write myself up. Literally I write
in my journal for trading a report that takes the following outline:
What I did wrong
What I did right
The bottom line
What I'm going to do differently next time
Exactly what happened in time sequence
By doing this I manage to learn something from the experience, no matter
how difficult or ugly it may have been. A forced review closes the
feedback loop and makes sure I don't keep making the same mistake.
