I've used OT as a scanning tool to find stocks
worth watching... If you are looking for software
which magically gives accurate trading signals
consistently, got to the "Holy Grails" isle
at your local software store, OT is not a
Holy Grail..
OT can be used to scan for stocks which are
giving divergence signals, or bouncing off
trendlines etc.. Most software packages do not
have this capacity built-in.
OT had severe problems with the latest release
3.0 which have now mostly been corrected. As a
result I expect most OT users will now be leary of
trying future new releases unless they have been
field-tested.
If you do not like optimization and curve-fitting,
you will not like OT.
