Jimmy is correct, Sc, you edit ticks in the'QuoteManager, and left click
under any chart data point gives the info you mentioned, and probably if
you click on Format, then Window, you can have a constant display on top
of chart if wanted.
Not sure, but when you 'Google' "Multicharts" the first two entries are
a relatively new USA distributor, the 3rd entry down, ie:
http://www.tssupport.com/multicharts/ is the actual home page of the
program creators. You 'might want to check there if you have not already
done so, and perhaps check the 'Support' icon on top of page, then
'Discussion Forum', just an idea. [ they also offer a Lease option ]
I realize this is the 'Omega' list, but seem to remember that the old
guidelines allowed discussion of other programs and stuff that might be
of interest to traders, and since the list has not had many posts in the
past few years, unlike in the late 90's for instance, perhaps it does
not diss too many members ..

I'll ask them to implement that. I like it better. I've been
exporting the data then using notepad or excel to look at it. I
usually have to do that anyway.
When I get a bad tick I open the quote manager and delete it. Then
use <CTRL> R to refresh the chart. Works well.
The program is not perfect but they make improvements as we report
them.

I had a brief look at Multicharts and overall it's a very nice
charting package.
Some things I think need improvements.
The program won't start without an active Internet connection, I
installed the demo version and when I clicked on the icon nothing
happened, at first thought I must have got a faulty download but after
about five minutes a window popped up Unable to find server.
Ever heard of working off-line.
There is no Data Window, in the TS data window, click on any bar in
the chart and the data in the window jumps to that line and shows the
data values and the values of the plotted indicators, this is very
valuable when trying to problem solve indicators that aren't plotting
correctly, or when comparing an indicators values with the same study
written in excel.
A further problem with having no access to the charts data is there is
no way to edit a bad tick, if you are trading and the chart gets a
wild spike it's all over for trading till the bad tick is fixed, and
exchanges have an uncanny way of giving out bad ticks just before
things like fed interest rate reports are to be released.
I have to stay with TS because I need my data window crutch, but it would
be nice to see Multicharts implement some access to data.

If you have a strategy that uses an outside DLL for computation and
that DLL is large...say 1meg then if you do an optimization with 5000
cases then you will get a memory overflow.
I get an out of memory error which means the DLL is not being detached
or unloaded at each optimization case and a new copy is being loaded
at each new optimization case. The DLL is approximately 1meg.
Total optimization cases is 5000. thus the total memory that will be
used is 5gig. Once the memory used reaches 2gig I get an out of memory
error and crash. when I tried the optimization with a 100K size DLL,
only 500meg of memory was addressed and no crash.
