Does HQuote Pro Still Work?

Greetings die hard omega listers.

For years I used the utility HQuote Pro to download free historical
stock data from Yahoo finance. I stopped for many months. When I tried
a few days ago to start up again, I found that it doesn't seem to work
any more. I set up several directories with a few dozen symbols. A few
of the symbols updated successfully the first day, but no data will
download for any symbol now. There seemed to be no rhyme or reason as
to which symbols updated at first and which didn't, as some very
liquid securities such as EFA and EEM refused to update.

Is anyone using this program successfully? Are there any other paid
program alternatives, or, hopefully, free ones? Their email support
does not reply to my inquiries.
