Hm... I already modified the Chaikin Money Flow oscillator in
NinjaTrader to do exactly what's described there: Use True Range
instead of High-Low range to eliminate the artifacts caused by
gaps, and use exponential moving averages instead of summations
to eliminate the artifacts caused by spikes leaving the lookback
interval.
Funny how that site describes this modification as "proprietary".
It seemed like an obvious thing to try.
