How to Make TradeStation 2000i Vista Compatible
Try this first
a.. Load TS 2000i with the User Access Control (UAC) turned off,
b.. run the program and then switch the UAC back on and re boot.
c.. Notice when you run it that you can also run the programme as
Administrator.
d.. Do that and it will ask a question "Do you know where the programme
came from?"
e.. Say "yes" and the programme should run!!
f.. You can set the programme to auto run as administrator - you get the
question about knowing
where the programme comes from, but it works.
g.. Loaded up some external indicators that you have, verify them under
the Easy Language Power Editor, and you are away
If you still have issues you can also load and run TradeStation 2000i after
changing the Windows Vista compatibility mode.
Below are the instructions for changing the compatibility mode in Windows
XP.
a.. Right click on the exe file:C:\Program Files\Omega
Research\Program\ORTrade.exe
b.. Select Properties
c.. then go to the tab that says Compatibility
d.. Try adjusting the options to Windows 95 or Windows 98.
(hint 98 may be best)
