w2000 on Core2Duo ?

  Looking to upgrade from the sturdy dual P3 thats been taking my Marketcast feed for over 6 years
  now.

  Marketcast will not run on Vista. Can I put w2000 on the new Core 2 Duo without losing much
  performance of the cpu?

  If ok to load w2000, then if I buy another HD and load w2000 is there a simple program/job that I
  could run on each (& the vita loaded HD) to bechmark the diff?
