It does work well once it is setup correctly. The fields must be setup correctly in TS8. Date has all the options but it is best to know what they are in the file. Use Notepad to open it if you don't know exactly what they are. Keep on it you will get it. Like much of Tradestation it is not intutivative. It asks you to give the data a name. You must or it will not work. Mine was for NQ so I just called it NQ or NQf or some such.

Anyone has an idea how to import ASCII tick data into TS8?
Minute data works just fine, tried it yesterday.
Seems like TS does not provide the correct header for handling tickdata.
