DAX still opens at 9.00 a.m., you should check with your data vendor may be
there is a problem with summer time? However the DAX opening and closing
time has changed several times in the years of existence.
For some reasons European do not like to do every thing exactly like the US,
so they might have different expiration dates for their future contracts.

Betreff: Basic questions for Dax traders
It looks like on June 1, 2006 the market open time was changed from 9:00am
(Exchange time) to 8:00am, is this correct and why did Eurex do this?
It also looks like the volume doesn't start till 9:00. Is this because most
traders are continuing to use 9:00 as their start time?
When is the contract rollover date and what is the rule? It looks like the
Dax does not rollover on the same date as the us index futures. Does the
Dax rollover on the contract expiration date? Will June 16, 2006 be the
date to start trading the Sep contract?
What data source are you using for real-time and historical data?
thanks,
sam
