Bad deal. My guess is that the tsinst10.exe error has something to do
with a kind of ok to install the program. That is why I though it
might be a registry mess that needed to be removed. I beta tested TS6
but never had any real problems with it. This is past my area of
expertise.

Previously, I deleted all registry items that had TS8.0 in them and
left anything that said TradeStation in the registry. But that did
not prevent the tsinst10.exe error.
this weekend I'll backup the registry and try your suggestion and see
if that works.
