eSignal Data Manager Disconnects

This is a copy of a message sent to eSignal tech support. If anyone else is still using eSignal and has experiencied this problem I would like to know.

Still getting disconnects using Data Manager 7.9.

To test the theory that it is my ISP I am also running a TD Waterhouse quote manager on the same telephone line.

With eSignal, I lose my authorization of services with 7.9, while my TD Waterhouse quotes service continues to receive and display quotes uninterrupted.

I have had the telephone company run signal tests and they report that my signal strength is in the middle of the band and not fringe.

The combination of no loss of quotes using another vendor and the signal strength tested by the telephone company and DSL provider tells me that the problem lies with your software, and not with my ISP, my telephone line, or the various hops between my computer and your servers.

Further, using eSignal Data Manager 6.2, which eSignal announced will no longer be supported, I am able to maintain my connection and services without interruption.

So, something eSignal has changed in 7.9 is causing the loss of services.

This is my third support report concerning this problem, so far without resolution or any commitment on your part to even look at the problem.

I am forwarding this message to public bulletin boards to identify other users who may be experiencing this problem.
