Re: Murray Ruggerio, Jr. to Speak at CT Trader's Group

A couple years Mr. Ruggiero wrote a series of
articles in FUTURES magazine in which he said that
mechanical systems based on indicators (such as
moving averages, RSI, Bollinger Bands, etc.) were
flawed and untradeable. The only sensible mechanical
systems are those based on price patterns alone,
says Murray R.

I hope somebody in the Stanford group asks him
whether he still feels this way. He seems to now
be selling a software product called "Traders Studio"
which helps people develop mechanical systems based
on moving averages and other indicators. Somehow
this reminds me of a protest song written by Tom
Lehrer, containing the classic line

"A man whose allegiance, is ruled by expedience"
