today's 2k global server Duh

Every know and then I get a surprise with 2k. This morning there is no
writes to the database.

I use metaserver (working fine)
I can see action in the global server  "data performance"  section.
All stop in the data performance section

symbol is connected
session times are ok

ran global server setup wizard . no change
restored a backup of 2k. not fixed
did a re-install  (thinking xp  may be missing windows database files used
by 2k)   still not fixed

Any ideas?

Also,  was there some mention of a reg tweak to help lesson 2k's draw of
resources?
