Can this be done?

Hello group....

I want to implement some Easy Language code to manage
stock positions, but thought I'd run my idea by you
all just to confirm it can be done before I embark on
a fruitless journey.

I'd establish a stock position, long or short,
manually via the Matrix feature. After I'm filled, I'd
have EL take over immediately to 1) compute a profit
target based on a percentage of my average fill price
and submit a limit order, and 2) determine the stock's
high or low of the day to compute and submit a stop
market order. As either the limit or
stop gets executed, I'd cancel the other and be out.
No positions will be held overnight.

If this seems reasonable, what sort of EL commands
might I use to check the quantity of a given stock
position as well as its filled price? I plan to have
this run on up to 10 stock positions that may be held
at any given time.

No doubt this algorithm has been considered before, so
maybe there's already some code out there somewhere
that I can get to adapt to this application?

Your advice/suggestions most welcomed and appreciated.

Best regards,
Bill
