Hi Deep Pocket,
Real time data, at least for observation purposes (and in my case for
trading purposes) does not require deep pockets (pun intended). If you
have account with IB, you can get real time feed for 100 tickers (any US
instrument) for $10 a month. Do more than $30 commish a month, and that
$10 is waived.
AND, according to email I received yesterday from IB, they would
backfill missing data for the current trading day starting with the next
TWS release. This one feature, if it works as advertised, would hurt
fore than a few data vendors.
