What did you change right before this started happening? Now if that
question was aimed at me I would say nothing... but actually
something was changed. TS2000i does do the things you say like
flicker, cursor goes to egg timer and scrolling back is followed
rapidly by a move to the last bar on chart. I'm going to ignore the
vertical line thing for now.
So were your indicators formatted to update on each tick before this
started? Did you change them? How are they set now?
Did you change data feed? Did you add charts? Did you add
workspaces? Did you add an indicator? Did you change the code of an
indicator?
Have you tried just opening one chart with no indicators then if it is
ok adding one indicator and so on?
Did you change the size of the charts? Did you get a new monitor?
Did you add more symbols? Do you have eminis in the Global Server?
Are they setup as futures rather than indices or stocks? What data
feed do you use?
That cursor going to the hour glass means you machine can no longer
keep up with the data. There is a reason so their is a cure. My
machine is old so I don't have as many workspaceses open or as many
charts or so many indicators as I used to.

Hi,
I'm using 2000i. Recently the program has developed a problem which I
can't seem to resolve.
Every new tick of data is causing my charts to re-set. When new tick
comes in the following things happen:
1) The entire chart flickers
2) The cursor momentarily flickers to egg timer
3) If I'm scrolled back in the chart, then it automatically goes
back to present time. This effectively means I can't scroll back in time
because the new ticks come in faster than I can scroll
4) If I have the cursor on "vertical chart status" then the
vertical line instantly shifts from where I put it to the extreme right
of the chart
This is with "time" charts both minutes, daily etc. In the case of tick
charts it is much worse as the screen blanks out with each new tick and
re-sets - this leads to the program freezing as it can't handle doing
that with each tick! So I can no longer use tick charts at all.
It's basically as if some command to re-set all charts on each new tick
has been applied to the program.
So far I've tried:
1) Updating my video driver.
2) Doing system restore 1 month back, and
3) Re-installing the program.
None of these have worked. I'm out of ideas. Has anybody else ever had
this problem and found a solution?
Help gratefully accepted.....Thanks in advance.
