A couple weeks ago I posted about my PowerEditor
suddenly slowing to a crawl a requiring 800 megs of
ram. Several of you were kind enough to suggest
solutions, and I wanted to let you know the outcome.
Two people suggested it might be a dll interference
and to remove any new programs I had installed. This
narrowed down to one program eFax Reader (reads
fax-to-email files). I removed this, and the problem
was cut in half, with PE now requiring 400 megs. I
then followed Jimmy's suggestion in his TS2ki Repair
pdf, which had me remove the Omega folder from the
registry and then reinstall TS. This I did, and the
problem is completely solved, with PE back to its
normal usage of 10 megs. Thanks again for your help,
especially Jimmy!
