Joe - I'm sure you know that a majority of Scottrade's nasdaq orders
are routed to Knight for the trade and there is payment to Scottrade
for this .

Ameritrade also has their "Freetrade" division where the commissions are
zero, but you have to put up with them routing your order to their preferred
destination, which can be a problem.

Ameritrade has the IZone for low commission internet trading at $5.00 per
trade. No minimum number of trades per month. I just transferred my
Ameritrade account ($12 per trade) to IZone.
