Custom symbol lists can be really useful, ie setting up a watchlist and being able to quickly scroll
through the symbols and their respective charts. But there is one quirk that drives me nuts...the
way that the current day(date) will not show on the chart. This is an intermittent problem, but
occurs 80% of the time.
When I open up a workspace that's tied into a custom symbol list, the charts should show, as the
last bar, the current date. Most of the time this won't happen and the last bar showing will be the
previous days. I go into Format symbol/Settings/Last Date to check and the Last Date is show as
yesterdays. I change it to today's date and click on OK, and just before the Format symbol window
vanishes I see today's date (ie: 1/14/05) quickly change back to yesterdays(ie: 1/13/05). This can
happen ten times in a row, and then sometimes on the eleventh try it won't change and the chart will
be current. But usually it won't correct itself and I eventually give up. Sometimes making a new
custom symbol list, with the same symbols, will correct the problem. But as often as not that won't
work either.
If anyone knows about this problem and has figured out a solution to this I'd sure like to know what
it is.
