For those of us who don't use TS8 (which can do this in the next
upgrade), but use TradeStation for other purposes than to transact
orders with TradeStation Securities and require a stand-alone software
package, four plots per indicator is the limit. However, there are
tricks you can employ to get more:
1. For indicators that require only dots or tick marks but not
connected lines, especially if the values don't change (such as
horizontal resistance and support indicators) you can plot one thing
on even bars and another thing on odd bars. For support/resistance
levels, you can get 8 plots per indicator this way. Each plot
alternates between different values on even and odd bars.
2. For indicators requiring connected line segments, you can draw
trendlines between every point instead of using the plot statement.
You can have as many trendlines as you want. This can get messy
with TS's internal memory handling, and also prevents you from
easily clicking on a bar without selecting a trendline segment
inadvertantly. The other disadvantage is that trendlines must be
drawn on data charts, not indicator subgraphs.
