not submit your stop order to the exchange until it is elected.
Yes, of course. But brokerages' handling of an election is quite a
different matter in terms of being less error prone & in terms of
connectivity quality & speed to the exchange. And the acceptability of
your order to the brokerage is already taken care of by the time the
election happens.
