Re: OT- Dell Dimension, Celeron vs Pentium 4

QUOTE not be an architecture like Amd. In fact most all Amd's have some
incompatibilities with WinXP SP2.

False; but then intc's have some incompatibilities

QUOTE; Got an applicable link for that, other than an unspecified source
from an
Amd sponsered tech link?

Gotta be a or an intel employee! from an UNSPECIFIED SOURCE; must be
CBS, call Dan Rather promise him some big bucks and he will say anything you
want him to.

QUOTE but the processor is gated 0%, where as Intc gate their processors
50% for
reliabilty and heat reduction.

wrong and complete bs THEY ALL WORK THE SAME The old standby If you can't
dazzle them with brillance then baffle them with bullshit!

So if you're low on funds and need power, its hard to beat. Many traders
like Amd.

another put down! But he is right it is hard to beat at any price!

quote I don't like the ddr crap either, but my dual Xeon RDRAM loaded
workstations
should do well for
years to come in performance and reliability. But personally, I'd get the
best Intc you could get.

no one cares what you like! since it is a known fact that tech speed doubles
every 18 months, the years to come attitude is unfortunate on your part or
maybe just stupid; we all have to upgrade our computers every year or two or
so.

QUOTE: The only way that would happen is if INTC comes out with 64 bit, but
it is
not needed, and it would
not be an architecture like Amd. In fact most all Amd's have some
incompatibilities with WinXP SP2.

Liar; 64 bit IS in beta, msft is going to move forward whether intc does, or
does not. 64 bit will be needed just like 16 bit 32 bit were and are needed
and amd is backwardly compatible. This crap you spew is getting old, too
many lies, go away!

The bottom line is no matter what; WE all have to keep upgrading our
computers whether we want to or not! This is a fact of life I doubt anyone
is still trading on a 486 or anything close to it. So drop the crap! I can
buy a really fast unit every year for about 600 bucks which is much cheaper
than the slower expensive stuff intel puts out.
