offtopic: Napa/Sonoma & the fires

So far it's been confined to Sonoma county and
Marin county, no fires at all in Napa county.
Phone the wineries you are interested in visiting
and talk to them.  Presumably you're going to the
"one cut above" places that require a reservation
anyway; call to reconfirm and to chat.

If you're going to Napa and don't have reservations
at Joseph Phelps, please think HARD about adding it
to your itinerary.  The view is not to be believed
and the wine (think "Eisribe" after dinner 375 ml)
is "Pretty Good" too.  I have minimum standards of
"Pretty Good".
