Interesting.  I haven't explored Bessel filters, but from what I can tell
browsing various PDFs on the web (why is everything in PDF format?) a
Bessel doesn't have as sharp or steep a rolloff as a Butterworth, but the
transient response of a Bessel appears to be critically damped; i.e. no
overshoot.
